Tuscany Italy Villa

I recently returned from staying in a Tuscany, Italy villa. I don't know what I loved more... the countryside was just like paintings. The wine was unbelievable (both the quality and the prices!). Speaking of wine, I still haven't figured out why I don't get sleepy when drinking Italian wines in Italy.

We we lucky to be there during the time when the grapes were being picked, or ready to be picked, for wine making. It's really a site to behold when you see rows upon rows of grapevines with the grapes still on them.  The grapes they pick one year might not be for sale until a few years later, depending on the winery.

The villas in the area were amazing. Such wonderful architecture, colors, history and style. The villa we stayed at was s combination of the main house and the rental annex...which was an entire house in itself! However, there was a cottage for rent on the property also. I wasn't even aware that the beautiful stone house I viewed out my bedroom window was the "cottage" until later.

And here it is!

Well, I'll have to add one more picture here. It's one of my favorites.

Here is a sample of the many countryside scenes. You can even see the Tuscany villas dotted throughout the landscape, along with the geometry of the vineyards.

About Me

My Photo
Landscape design has been an important part of my life for many years. Whether it be creating a master plan, designing a small garden, selecting paving materials, or choosing plant material for color throughout the year, I design landscapes that are extremely creative and colorful. It is very satisfying to take a property and either enhance it or create a totally new picture. I live and work in New Jersey, but I also provide online designs.
